2006-2007 SHS Booster Club

Hello Sports Fans,

The Booster Club is looking forward to another exciting year of events at Salem High School.  Many of our athletic teams have had great success, gone deep, participated in playoff games and won Class L State Championships.  In any event, we are very proud of all of our athletes and it is our goal to support the athletic programs to provide them with the best possible experience while at Salem High School.

One of the many ways we raise money for the athletes is through our membership drive, concessions stands, sale of sports gear and the seasonal Sports Program Books.  The seasonal Sports Program Books feature the pictures of the sports teams, game schedules, directions to events, friends and family messages and ads from our local business supporters.  If you are interested in placing a friends and family message, own a business or know of one that would support our fundraising efforts by advertising in this booklet, please contact Debbie Sadowski, Sports Program Ad-Book Coordinator at 898-1541.  These many activities have helped in the past to support the athletes with extra equipment not covered in the school’s budget, seasonal banquets and college scholarships.

It is the goal of the Booster Club to get 100% participation of every athlete’s family to join the Booster Club, for the minimal charge of $10.00 per family, per school year.  We also offer the Gold Membership, which is a bargain at the $50.00 per family, per school year. This Gold Membership will get you two Season Passes to all of Salem’s non-playoff home games, which would cost over $100.00 to purchase individually.  If you haven’t already done so, please sign up today to become a Booster Club Member.

Soon, our fall programs will be coming to a close and our winter teams will begin their seasons. This means that we need volunteers to become our “team liaisons” for each of the sport teams to be the contact between the coach/team and the Booster Club.  Generally the liaisons participate in the monthly Booster Club meetings, help arrange volunteers for the concessions stands, team sandwiches for the bus rides after the away games and donations of desserts for that seasons’ banquet dinners.  This past fall season and Home Coming Festivities were successful, mostly in part to the many Booster Club volunteers, we appreciate each and every one of you for all of your hard work and support.  Please be advised that these “teams liaisons” could make up more than just one volunteer, so please consider volunteering… we need your help.

Lastly, the 2006/2007 Booster Board is looking forward to another successful year for all of our athletes and their families.

Best regards,
