SALEM HIGH SCHOOL

SUMMER READING LIST FOR UPPERCLASSMAN

The Salem School District believes summer reading is a valuable experience for all students and an important extension of our educational programs.  Reading is one of the most important factors in academic success and a skill that is basic to all areas of the curriculum.  It is also a skill that improves with practice!  Summer reading is intended to be an enjoyable experience.  While helping to keep our students connected to learning during the summer vacation, it supports our objective that each student becomes a life long reader and learner.

In order to make a more informed choice as to which book may or may not interest you, please refer to www.amazon.com or www.bn.com.  These two websites contain a short synopsis of all the books that are located on the reading list.  You may also choose to go to your library or favorite bookstore and read the book jacket.  Happy reading!
