There’s no better way
to learn about the city than to build one…and that’s just what Haigh second
graders have been doing! The streets are paved and filled with traffic! Skyscrapers, apartment buildings, and
offices take up most of the space. Some
space was set aside to create a park so that residents and worker can take a
break. The airport and harbor are crowded bringing people and goods into the
city. Hospitals, schools, restaurants,
and stores are needed by the people who live and work there. The subway runs
under the city and helps people to get from one place to another without a car!
A city is a great
place to visit, but it’s always fun to come home to Salem!
