8. Arthur Vining Davis Foundations –
(High School) – The Foundations
support secondary education programs, primarily those that address innovative
professional development programs that strengthen teachers and their teaching
in grades 9-12. The Foundations are
particularly interested in programs that involve sustained partnerships between
faculties of colleges and school districts or collaborative efforts involving
reform organizations, colleges/ universities and high schools.

9. NEA Foundation Learning & Leadership Grants - The NEA Foundation for the Improvement of Education
(NFIE) believes that educators in America's
public schools, colleges, and
universities are critical to excellence in student learning. The grant amount is
$1,000 for an individual and $3,000 for a study group. The NEA Foundation will
award up to 75 grants per year. Applications may be submitted at any time;
applicants are encouraged to plan ahead. Notification will be made within seven
